Message for You

Church attendance in America is at an all-time low. Critics of Christianity and the Bible cite "hypocrites in the church" as one of the number one reasons why many people refuse to go to church these days.

Are there hypocrites in the church, and is this really a problem in modern Christianity?  Sadly, it is.  And it's no small problem.  Hypocrites and fake Christians pervade the modern church.

Fortunately, the Bible tells us that all hypocrites and fake Christians will be judged by God, and will ultimately end up in a place called the Lake of Fire (Matthew 7:21-23; 24:51).  In other words, they will not escape God's justice.

How about you?  Are you in danger of God's judgment?  You see, God will not only judge hypocrites and false converts, He'll also judge liars, thieves, blasphemers, fornicators, and adulterers.

Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted, or taken God's name in vain?

Do you believe that you're a good person, and that God is pleased with how you conduct yourself and live your life?  If so, God's word says otherwise.  In fact, the Bible says there's no such thing as a good person (Mark 10:18).  It also says that God is angry with the wicked, and that you're an enemy of God through your wicked works (Psalm 7:11; Colossians 1:21).  To put it bluntly, you're going to be in big trouble on the Day of Judgment!

Thankfully, God did something miraculous so that we might be saved from eternal damnation.  God became a man, Jesus Christ, and suffered and died on a cross for the sins of the world.  It's really this simple: we broke the law, but God paid our fine through the shedding of His blood.

So, God provided a way for us to be forgiven for our sins, but how do we access that forgiveness?  The Bible says we must humble ourselves before God, and admit that we deserve Hell.  We must repent, meaning turn from our sins, and put our faith, hope, and trust solely in the Lord Jesus Christ.  The moment we do that God will give us everlasting life, and we'll become what the Bible calls "born again" (John 3:3).

Please consider your eternal salvation today while you still have time.  Tomorrow just might be too late.

Will you Consider?

1.    ALL HAVE SINNED…
Romans 3:10    …There is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans 3:20    …for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:23    For all have sinned and come short of the glory of                                             God.

2.    THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS DEATH AND HELL…
Romans 6:23    For the wages of sin is death…
Luke 16:23        And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments…

3.    JESUS DIED TO PAY FOR OUR SINS…
Romans 5:8    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while                                 we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

4.    JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD...
I Cor. 15:20    But now is Christ risen from the dead...
I Cor. 15:22    ...even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

5.    TURN FROM YOUR SIN AND TRUST IN CHRIST
Acts 20:21    ...repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord                                      Jesus Christ.

TRUST CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR NOW…
Romans 10:9-10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 16:30-31  ...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
